L’amour by Jacquemus

Hi guys, today we are going to talk about Simone Jacquemus’ ready-to-wear s/s 2021 collection, called L’amour. I am obsessed with everything Jacquemus comes out with and I love that every show and collection has a story and a meaning behind it. This collection started taking shape during lockdown and the inspiration for it was common things around our homes.

The name of the collection, L’amour, expresses Simone’s love toward his team and family. The show took place outside in a wheatfield with very few guests. The designer said he wanted to make the show feel personal and also tried to keep the safety distance between the guests.

Jacquemus also wanted to address the 2020 conversation in the fashion community, about inclusivity, authenticity and diversity. He also decided to only present 2 collections per year, these collections being presented on an actual runway, since Simone doesn’t think the beauty of a fashion show can be captured by a camera.

Now, let’s talk about some of the looks from this stunning show:

I love this look, the way Jacquemus turned something so common and basic like a pillow into this stunning two piece. It blows my mind how this man comes up with these ideas.

The asymmetry of the blazer and the way the colors mix is a match made in heaven. Also, the materials Simone uses in this collection have this delicate and simple yet sophisticated feel that I adore. Let’s not forget about the plate bag that, even though it might not be practical on a day to day basis, it just fits the theme and the vibe of the show perfectly.

I am living for these high waisted pants and the way they tie around the waist just under the shirt that matches the pants perfectly in a way I would have never thought of. Also, the Chiquito earrings are my favorite accessory from this collection along with the door knob bracelet.

These are just a few of my personal favorite looks from the show, which I highly recommend you look at. You can find it on Vogue Runway along with comments and everything. Hope you enjoyed. let me know if you want me to talk about a certain collection in the comments below. Have a great day,

some of my favorite designers

Hi guys, today I am going to talk about a few of my favorite designers right now. You may know some of these and it might be the first time you hear about others. Let’s go:

  1. My absolute favourite, Simon Porte Jacquemus. As you probably guessed from his name, he is the founder and designer for Jacquemus. Lately, I have been obsessed with his pieces. He started his brand 10 years ago and named it after his mother’s maiden name. He studied at ESMOD Paris and was invited to present his collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2012.  here are some of my personal faves from his runways:

  2. Peter Do is another designer I really love and respect. He designed for Celine and Derek  Lam before starting his own brand. Peter is a private person and you can’t really find any picture of him, but you can recognize him by his very unique tattoo that is a long black line from his neck to his hand. What I also really appreciate from Peter Do, except the clothes, is his genuine care for sustainability. He even created a whole new type of material that is sustainable and long lasting. Some of my favorite looks:

  3. I discovered Dion Lee recently and I fell in love with his designs and his ethics. He has a few pieces that are unisex and I really love that. Also, I have a weird obsession with corsets which he has a bunch of and are so beautiful. I don’t have a lot of information on his life and career, but I will show you some stunning looks from his collections:

  4. Iris van Herpen is such a great designer and she is so creative. Her designs are literal pieces of art. They look like a combination of sculpture, fashion and architecture. She designs Haute Couture pieces and she uses 3D printing as part of the creation process. She interned at Alexander McQueen before she decided to start her own brand in 2007. If you’ve never heard of her before, you HAVE to check out her work. It’s magical. I am going to show you some of my personal favorites:

  5. Jean Paul Gaultier is a very controversial designer, since his pieces are very unconventional but in a good way. He first started as Pierre Cardin’s assistant, and then slowly began working his way up. During his career he was creative director at Hermes, he has his own brand, he released a single and co-hosted a TV show. Unfortunately he retired in January 2020, but I will show you some of his best looks in my opinion:

Hope you enjoyed, let me know who your favorite fashion designers are in the comment section below. Have a great day,

7 designer bags under 1000€

Hello guys. Today I want to talk about a few designer bags you can buy with less than 1000€. I decided to write this post because I know designer bags can be really expensive and some people don’t want to pay these huge prices. So, let me show you a few bags that are pretty, unique and qualitative. There are links for every bag, just click on the name of it. Let’s go:

   1. Burberry society monogram-print tote. I really like this one, it’s one of the most expensive ones I have on this list, but I think it’s really practical and it looks so beautiful. Plus that it matches with almost everything. It retails for 992€ on farfetch.

   2. Jacquemus Le grand  Bambino handbag. I didn’t even know this one existed until I researched for this post. When I found it I fell in love with it. It’s so pretty and structured. And compared to the other Jacquemus bags, it’s a really decent size. It retails for 601€ on farfetch.

  3. Givenchy rainbow logo print clutch. This one is really cool and you can wear it as a clutch, or use it as a catch all in your tote and you can also just use it as a bag for your documents and stuff. And it’s really beautiful. It retails for 490€ on farfetch.

  4. Marc Jacobs snapshot crossbody bag. I really wanted to buy this one but I decided on another Marc Jacobs bag. It’s so pretty and there are some designs for the snapshot designs that are absolutely beautiful. It retails for 334€ on farfetch.

  5. YSL monogram pouch. This is another of my personal favorites. It’s also really versatile, you can wear it while you run errands or when you go to parties or even at black-tie events. And it’s also really high-quality. It retails for 595€ on farfetch.

  6. JW Anderson chain link tote bag. I have been seeing this on instagram lately. Well, not this one exactly, but there are some shoes from JW Anderson I really liked. Now, let’s talk about the bag. It’s really pretty and I love the chain detailing. And I also like the fact that it has top handles and a shoulder strap. It retails for 712€ on farfetch.

  7. Jimmy Choo varenne crocodile effect clutch. This bag looks so elegant and the crocodile skin looks sophisticated even though I feel like you could still wear this as an everyday bag.It retails for 795€.

Hope you enjoyed and I hope this is somewhat useful. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Have a great day,
