5 gift ideas under 500€

Hi guys, since the holidays are approaching, I thought, why not discuss high quality, designer gifts for those you love, while still keeping it on a budget. So today we are talking about gifts under 500€. Let’s go:

I put these in categories and I will link some examples and options for each and every one of them. Just click on the pictures. Also, most of the stuff I link in this post is from Farfetch. (not sponsored)

  1. Ok, so kicking it off with nr 1, we have scarves. It’s autumn, winter is coming and a scarf just pulls an outfit together and makes it so stylish. I don’t think there is anyone that wouldn’t love a good quality, warm and fashionable scarf. Here are some suggestions:

209€-Alexander Mcqueen

330€-Givenchy

350€-Gucci

  2. Next, this one is not a clothing item, but it’s a great decoration for the room and it smells great. Yes, you guessed it, it’s a candle. Or multiple for that matter. I think they look great on your bedside table, on your desk or in the living room, anywhere really. And some of the candles smell so good. Now, I am not a specialist on candles and I don’t own a lot, so these examples are just from what I found on the internet. Here are a few options:

80€-Amen candles

43€-Boy Smells

98€-L’objet

  3. Let’s talk about earrings. I love jewelry, I think it makes every outfit look fancy and put together. Also, you can keep them forever and pass them on to you kids or grandkids. Earrings make for a great gift, whether it’s for Christmas or birthday. Here are some really cute ones:

290€-Valentino

295€-Joanna Laura Constantine

307€-Paco Rabanne

  4. Next up are perfumes. There is this one brand, I found it on Instagram, it’s called Azaleo, it’s vegan and they have three scents that you can layer or not. They also have a little quiz to help you if you don’t know what scent you want. I will link them below as well as other perfumes that I really like.

175€-Azaleo

65€-340€-Tom Ford

30€-126€-Prada

  5. This is not really 1 item, it’s a brand. But I had to put them on the list, because I just love them and they are also helping the environment. I mean, what else can you ask for. I already talked about them, but I will bring them up again. Boutique second life is a brand that takes vintage designer  jewelry and keychains and stuff and transforms them into beautiful jewelry pieces. I will put some of my personal favorite pieces down below.

146€-Dior

112€-Louis Vuitton

Hope this was helpful. These are just some of the things I think most people enjoy receiving. If there is anything you would like me to write about, let me know in the comment section, or send a DM on Instagram. Have a great day,

7 designer bags under 1000€

Hello guys. Today I want to talk about a few designer bags you can buy with less than 1000€. I decided to write this post because I know designer bags can be really expensive and some people don’t want to pay these huge prices. So, let me show you a few bags that are pretty, unique and qualitative. There are links for every bag, just click on the name of it. Let’s go:

   1. Burberry society monogram-print tote. I really like this one, it’s one of the most expensive ones I have on this list, but I think it’s really practical and it looks so beautiful. Plus that it matches with almost everything. It retails for 992€ on farfetch.

   2. Jacquemus Le grand  Bambino handbag. I didn’t even know this one existed until I researched for this post. When I found it I fell in love with it. It’s so pretty and structured. And compared to the other Jacquemus bags, it’s a really decent size. It retails for 601€ on farfetch.

  3. Givenchy rainbow logo print clutch. This one is really cool and you can wear it as a clutch, or use it as a catch all in your tote and you can also just use it as a bag for your documents and stuff. And it’s really beautiful. It retails for 490€ on farfetch.

  4. Marc Jacobs snapshot crossbody bag. I really wanted to buy this one but I decided on another Marc Jacobs bag. It’s so pretty and there are some designs for the snapshot designs that are absolutely beautiful. It retails for 334€ on farfetch.

  5. YSL monogram pouch. This is another of my personal favorites. It’s also really versatile, you can wear it while you run errands or when you go to parties or even at black-tie events. And it’s also really high-quality. It retails for 595€ on farfetch.

  6. JW Anderson chain link tote bag. I have been seeing this on instagram lately. Well, not this one exactly, but there are some shoes from JW Anderson I really liked. Now, let’s talk about the bag. It’s really pretty and I love the chain detailing. And I also like the fact that it has top handles and a shoulder strap. It retails for 712€ on farfetch.

  7. Jimmy Choo varenne crocodile effect clutch. This bag looks so elegant and the crocodile skin looks sophisticated even though I feel like you could still wear this as an everyday bag.It retails for 795€.

Hope you enjoyed and I hope this is somewhat useful. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Have a great day,

                                                                                      XOXO,Delayla

Bags that I’m tired of seeing

Lately, I was scrolling through Instagram, as one does, and I kept noticing the same, repetitive bags. Or just bags that I keep seeing everywhere and that at this point I can’t even look at them. Some of these might be controversial, but I think they need to be said…

     1. Anything in Louis Vuitton classic monogram. I feel like everybody owns and/or wears something with a LV monogram. Also, they are so easy to fake. There are so many LV fakes everywhere, it’s kinda lost its power and uniqueness.

     2. The Gucci Dionysus. This bag has been worn so much in the last few years, I honestly can’t stand looking at it anymore. To anyone that owns one or like them, I’m not trying to insult you in any way. This is just my personal opinion.

3.The Gucci Marmont. I swear I have nothing against Gucci ahah, it’s just that these two specific designs have been worn too much. I actually really liked this bag last year, but now I just think “Uh, not again”

.

4.The Hermes Kelly and Birkin. Ok, so don’t kill me, I know this is gonna be very controversial, and I know this is one of the IT bags. Honestly, I never liked them and I can’t justify paying that amount of money for a bag. Believe me when I say, I love bags in general and I understand why they are so expensive. But this one bag I would never be able to justify buying. Plus that anybody who considers themself rich has one of these. I just think they are overrated…

Hope you enjoyed and just a reminder that I mean no disrespect to anyone who likes or owns these bags. Have a great day,

                                                                                                XOXO, Delayla

Bags I love this season

I am a declared bag obsessed person and talking about them and looking at them makes me so happy and I hope I can share this with you guys. I don’t have a lot of designer bags, but I certainly love looking at them in stores and online. So, let’s talk bags.

   1. Dior

The bobby bag. Small bags are really trendy right now and you probably saw these all around instagram, but I have to say they are really beautiful and to me, they look really versatile.

      – The Lady Dior Ultramatte. The Lady Dior is a classic of course, and that’s exactly why I love this new interpretation of it so much. It’s still a classic but with a little edgy twist.

  2. Gucci

      – The Jackie 1961 small hobo bag. Now, this might be one that not everyone will like, but I have to say that it looks so cute and since I really like items that have a little bit of a vintage vibe to them. I think this one is so unique.

  3. YSL

      –  The Cassandra top handle. This one is more of a business casual style, and the structure of it is so impressive, it looks sophisticated and classy. There are also some colors and textures you can buy this bag in if you want it to have a more fun and relaxed vibe.

        –  The Vinyl round camera bag. This might be the only round bag that I will ever like because they look pretty impractical, but I just think that this will go so well with some fancy outfits and I just can’t get it out of my mind.

   4. Prada

        –  The Prada identity bag. This one looks a little bit like the nylon one also from Prada, but it looks more sophisticated and even though it’s not a very ‘interesting’ bag, but I think it’s a bag that really works with the trends this season.

  5. Valentino

        – The SuperVee. I know it looks kind of ‘in your face’ with that big logo, but it’s just so pretty and every time I see it my heart skips a bit (I am aware it’s just a bag). I don’t know how to describe how much I love it.

       –  The small vsling. This one is more toned down and low-key and it’s sophisticated but also a bit more fun and relaxed then the ysl one. You can also find it in a ton of different colors.

7. Fendi

– The Baguette. I almost forgot to include this one, but it’s one of my new favorite bags because it just gives me 90s vibes but more elevated and fun and it goes with everything. I really like it and I would like to see more of them around. I don’t think they get enough appreciation.

Hope this is helpful to you guys, I definitely loved writing this. And also, there are going to be more bag related posts, so keep an eye out for those. Have a wonderful day,

                                                                         XOXO,Delayla

Colors to wear this autumn

This might sound like an odd title and subject to talk about, but it might actually help you on your shopping trips. We’re going to talk about the colors you should wear this autumn.

   – One of my personal favorites is Off-White and no, not the brand. This color is so classy and so easy to wear. This is definitely a must have in your wardrobe.

   – Next, let’s talk about mustard or a dirty yellow. This has been an autumn classic for quite a while now, and it’s still going strong.

   – Dark blue or navy is such a beautiful color that works so well with tons of colors, not all of them but most. You can also make really cool and sophisticated outfits with it.

    – Beige is the color I fell in love with this season and bought tons of items in this color. You can style it in so many ways and it looks really put together.

    – I mean, most people already wear this color so much, it’s basically common knowledge that black goes with everything and looks good with everything.

Hope this helped you at least a little bit and that you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day,

XOXO, Delayla

Autumn faves

Autumn faves

Since autumn has arrived, I decided to show you some of my (and what seems to be most of the fashion world’s) favorite trends. Just as a reminder, most of the pictures I post on my blog are either from Pinterest or vogue.com. So, let’s start:

-Animal Print. Obviously, animal print has been around for quite some time, but this season, it’s everywhere. Everybody is wearing it and I think that is great, because it’s definitely in my top 3 autumn trends this year.

-Sweater vests. I will be honest with you, in the beginning I thought they were heidious, but after I actually tried one on and saw some other ways of styling them I loved it. I mostly tried one on because I saw one on Clueless and since I love the movie, I tried it. I regret nothing.

-Straight-leg and flare pants. Whether it’s jeans or any other kind of pants, I think they look really stylish and put together. I actually bought a pair of flared pants from Zara and I love them so much. I totally recommend at least trying a pair on.

-Slip dresses. I think I already talked about them before, but I have to bring them up again, because they are such a statement piece and they look so good on any type of body. I seriously need to buy one ASAP.

-Doc Martens. These boots look good with literally any outfit. You could be wearing a fancy outfit or just a casual jeans and T-shirt outfit and the Martens would work with both of them. They are such a versatile piece and I adore them.

-Blazers. I am obsessed with them. I have a bunch of blazers in my wardrobe and I love how they look on with everything. There isn’t a lot I can say about them, they are just perfect.

Hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you got inspired by some of these outfits. Let me know which one you like most. Have a great day,

                                                                                       XOXO,Delayla

Small brands you should check out

I am almost always on Instagram, so sometimes I look around for interesting brands or influencers. These are some brands that I find interesting and most of them are eco-friendly and sustainable. They are mostly jewelry brands, but there are also some clothing and accessories ones. So, let’s start:

1 Attire– one of my favorite influencers created this brand very recently, so you should definitely check it out. It’s eco-friendly, ethical, zero polyester brand, and the production is based in Portugal and Italy. I will put the links to both the brand and the founder, but before I want to tell you a bit about what and why Xenia, the founder of Attire, decided to start this brand. She is a pretty famous influencer, she goes to all sorts of events, Fashion Weeks, etc. But she said she felt the need to do something more meaningful. Also, she didn’t really like the way other big brands produce the clothes. So she decided to do a totally transparent brand, where you know what you pay for, where the materials come from and how they are created. I sincerely respect her and how she chose to run this business. I am looking forward to buying an item from her collection. If you want to find out more about the brand and Xenia and/or her brand, in the about section on the Attire website, she explains on a deeper level   and in a more detailed way about everything I just told you.

2 Revived Uk– the way this brand works is: they find these really rare vintage designer pieces, which they use to create new, sustainable and high quality jewelry. The only downside to this is that, because these designer pieces are so expensive, they are also really limited. I really like the fact that they create these necklaces that make you feel like you just bought something from that really famous brand and you are literally wearing a piece of history. That one little keychain that they turned into a necklace could have belonged to anyone and even if you don’t know it, it carries a story and I think that is amazing and unique. I am going to leave the link to their website and Instagram below.

3 Pura Vida Bracelets– this isn’t really a small business because it has grown a lot in the last year or so, but I think it’s a great brand and I found the story behind it very interesting. It all started when the two founders of this brand went on a trip to Costa Rica and found two locals, who were making these very colorful bracelets, but who also were really struggling financially. So Griffin and Paul(the founders of Pura Vida) asked for 400 bracelets they can take back to San Diego. In San Diego, they went to a shop and asked to sell their bracelets there. They sold so fast, that Paul and Griffin decided to make this into a business. So now, they support over 800 artisanals all around the globe by selling their work online and they also opened a few shops around the world where they sell all of their designs. This is one of my favorite brands to support, so if you can’t buy from them, just share it. I will also put their links below.

4 Naked Wolfe– this brand was created by a family of six where two of the siblings are the creative directors. They are a footwear brand, founded because they felt there was a gap in the footwear market. So they created on-trend fashion styles and a luxury-designer quality but at an affordable price. They work so that they can put new designs out every week and their shoes are hand-made in specialized production facilities. I think this could become one of the really popular brands. Their designs are so pretty and I really want to buy a pair. As you got used to by now, I’m gonna put the links below.

How to find your style

Hi guys, today I figured we should talk styles. Nowadays there are so many styles it’s hard to keep track of them all. I can’t really say I found one style I identify myself, I would say I am a mixture of three. Now, I am going to try and help you find the style/s you identify as. So let’s start.

  • First you should go to your wardrobe and pick out your favorite items and try to see if there is any type of pattern. For example if it’s mostly crop tops or mostly oversized T-shirts.
  • Now, go on Pinterest and just look around for outfits that you like. Just search: ‘outfits’ and look around. See what you like and what you would wear. Or you can search up some styles that you know about or want to try and choose some outfits from there.
  • Next, look at the pictures and see if any of the items you picked match the outfit. Even if you have nothing that could work for that specific outfit but still really like it, don’t worry.
  • After you match some outfits with some clothing items, It’s time to go shopping (my favorite part). You can go to the mall, to the thrift shop, you can order online, whatever you prefer.
  • When buying clothes make sure you buy things you can create outfits with, because when girls say”OMG I have nothing to wear”, they mean none of their clothes work as outfits, so that is why you should create outfits when buying clothes. And also try and make all the items match each other. It’s really gonna make choosing clothes in the morning easier.

These are the steps I followed when I was also style searching. Hope this helps, let me know in the comments what style you identify as. I am really curious. Have a fantastic day,

                                                                                                      XOXO, Delayla

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang

Hello guys, today I want to talk abut one of my favorite designers. I followed him on Instagram a while ago, but I have become a really big fan recently. So I will ‘present’ him to you.

Alexander Wang is an American designer born on the 26th of December 1983, in San Francisco, California to a Taiwanese house hold, but he has confirmed that he cannot speak Mandarin Chinese. He did a summer course at Central Saint Martins when he was 15 and moved to New York to study at the Parsons School of Design, but he left the program after two years, without graduating, so that he can start his brand.

He started his fashion brand in 2005 and became more popular after he won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2008.
